The leader within an organization becomes the point of balance and the key to making a difference and seeking results. He must, more than anyone, believe in the potential of the company and its team. However, unfortunately we can see in the companies very good professionals who are elevated to the role of leaders, but, due to inability or unpreparedness, they are unable to develop this role properly, which causes many problems in relation to the climate and results.

But, not every person is born a leader and there are leadership characteristics that must be identified and enhanced. Developing these skills becomes fundamental for the success of a leader, the result of the company and the increase of its employability. We can highlight some fundamental points to achieve this objective:

The first difference is that the leader must be passionate about what he does, if that does not happen there will be no inspiration and enthusiasm. So, if you want to become a leader, keep in mind that you need to do what you love and love what you do;

A leader must be a professional that people trust, so he must be sincere and engaged. It is also important to demonstrate maturity based on past and theoretical experiences, as it has to be in search of continuous improvement and recycling;

The knowledge of what you do and the curiosity to be looking for new things is fundamental. Thus, the leader must be a source of information and alternatives, he must always be improving, otherwise he can become a leadership that is not very respected;

Knowing how to take risks is essential, so it is essential to have audacity when necessary and to position your opinion, it is also necessary that you take responsibility and blame;

Self-knowledge and self-control are fundamental, because only by looking inward, that the leader will know how to act with partners and their limits;

Having resilience is essential, as it is necessary to be ready to change the route without losing serenity and focus, leading your team through the changes that the market imposes.

Communicating well is essential. Today, one of the great mistakes of a leader is not clear to the team the paths taken and the reasons. It is necessary to know how to speak, hold meetings and convince.

Anyway, the leader is confused with the “boss”. But, being a leader is not just coordinating the work. It is necessary to deepen on a theme. The leader is inspiring, motivating teams, showing the way to be followed. With this, it tends to be more respected, achieving efficiency and the results necessary for the company's productivity and profitability.
