What SAP is doing to support Rio Grande do Sul

The management of SAP Labs Latin America, which is located in São Leopoldo – a city 28 kilometers north of Porto Alegre – organized appropriate accommodation so that employees, their families and pets could shelter safely in this time of calamity. In addition, SAP is offering support resources for physical and psychological health to those sheltered. A global campaign was launched in which employees can contribute financially and the SAP board, expressing full support for employees, partners, customers and the Rio Grande do Sul community, will make a donation in the same amount raised. We are also contributing to the institutions Junior Achievement, Mundo Mais Limpo and Misturaí, long-time partners, through funds for the company's disaster response project that will also be used for long-term reconstruction plans. The sum of the two Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives already exceeds US$ 300 thousand.

The SAP offices in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro also started a campaign to collect clothes, non-perishable food from the basic basket, personal hygiene products, cleaning materials, clothing items, toys, blankets, bed and bath linen, which are being sent to Civil Defense via Post Office to Rio Grande do Sul. SAP also led the creation of a coalition of companies to support the initiatives of the Government of Rio Grande do Sul through the Movimento Brasil Competitivo.
