Programming has guidelines on ethics, good practices to combat corruption and valorization of integrity and fair competition and will be taught by Carolina Marzano, Compliance Officer at ABES and specialist in compliance and intellectual property

Sao Paulo, May 10, 2022 — The Uma Empresa Ethics Program remains committed to providing more and more content and services to participating entities, as it works with the purpose of contributing to the construction of a more digital and less unequal Brazil, and celebrates the engagement of member companies and its employees in the Compliance Training of the An Ethical Company Program. The second class of 2022 of the course, which will be applied to employees of member companies of ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies) and ABIMDE (Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Materials Industries), takes place on May 17 from 10 am to 12 pm

Online Training on Compliance provides guidance on good practices to combat corruption, value integrity, fair competition and a healthy environment in companies. “This is an initiative that offers companies, free of charge, the means to start implementing the three essential pillars of a program of integrity and compliance with the legal framework: a model code of ethics and conduct; compliance training for employees; and the adoption of an independent whistleblower channel”, details Carolina Marzano, Compliance Officer at ABES and specialist in compliance and intellectual property.

In addition to this training, companies associated with ABES and ABIMDE can obtain the An Ethics Company Certificate, which is awarded to companies that officially adhere to the program and promote all three pillars. The certificate is valid for 12 months, counting from the date of issue of the document, when the associate will need to prove that the pillars are being respected and are part of the company's daily life.

Launched in 2018 by ABES, the Uma Empresa Ethics Program is aimed at member companies of participating entities and aims to help build a business environment in Brazil that is conducive to innovation, ethics, dynamics and globally competitive. So far, 375 employees from entities participating in the program have been trained. The entities that participate in the An Ethics Company Program believe that the elimination of corruption, harassment and disrespect should be a priority, encouraging the commitment of companies and government bodies in the adoption of preventive measures to combat illegal acts.

“We follow the purpose of encouraging companies to formally adopt the highest ethical standards in dealing with their affairs, whether internal or external, as well as improving the standard of behavior in the relationship with customers and the market as a whole and , also, create formal norms to implement these standards, in compliance with Brazilian anti-corruption legislation and other legislation in force, in addition to the best international practices”, declares Paulo Milliet Roque, president of ABES.

Registration for training can be done at event page, and are exclusive to managers and employees of companies associated with ABES and/or ABIMDE.
