ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies continues with its regional expansion strategy and with its purpose of contributing to the construction of a more digital and less unequal Brazil. As part of this strategy, the entity has just appointed lawyer Marcia Lippert as Vice President in Rio Grande do Sul. With experience as Director of the Brazil-Germany Chamber from 2010 to 2014, member of the Brazilian Institute of Consumer Policy and Law (BRASILCON ) and author of the book “The Company in the Civil Code: an element of unification of private law” (2003), Marcia is part of the team of women who are part of the ABES team.
“I am very happy with the appointment of Regional Vice President of ABES for the possibility of contributing to the evolution of Brazil as a more digitally developed country, by fostering the generation of opportunities and business and through digital inclusion. I have been working for many years to understand the importance of complying with copyright and I had the opportunity to carry out actions with educational purposes, in the school environment, in order to make young people understand the real extent of these rights, which go far beyond the authors of computer programs, but they are reflected in respect for the right to education of the Brazilian citizen as a nation”, says Marcia Lippert, Master and Doctor in Private Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
ABES seeks to ensure its relevance throughout the country and to be a national and international reference in the technology sector. “I am very excited about Marcia Lippert's willingness to accept this challenge. I am sure that your vast knowledge of the technology sector will be of great value to members in the region, as well as throughout Brazil. Our territorial expansion strategy is to add more than 35 years of experience at ABES, with the experience and knowledge of the regional and local leader, bringing even more relevance to our associates and the sector in general”, says Rodolfo Fücher, president of the association .
