ABES has opened registrations for a new training unmissable event that aims to qualify members' representatives and employees, providing them with cutting-edge knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The training “Artificial Intelligence: Technical Aspects and Governance” It is a new service added to the qualification portfolio offered by the entity. The free and exclusive event for members is scheduled for September 5, 2024, from 8 am to 10 am.

The training will take participants on an enriching journey through the world of AI. Divided into three parts, the course will cover:

  • History of AI: An in-depth look from the origins of the technology to the latest innovations.
  • Fundamental Concepts: discourses on AI implementation and training methodologies, including the emerging Generative AI.
  • Ethics and Governance: discussion of the indispensable principles of trust, transparency, robustness and privacy, fundamental in AI practices.

This training will be led by two renowned experts in the field:

Eduardo Paranhos: with more than 25 years of experience, Paranhos is a lawyer and founding partner of EPG Advogados. He acts as leader of the ABES AI Working Group and coordinator of the “Legislation, Regulation and Ethical Use” axis of the Brazilian AI Strategy (EBIA). Paranhos has a master's degree in Corporate Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and was awarded the 'Chevening Award' by the British Government.

Carlos Reolon: with more than 15 years of experience in Service Delivery, Reolon is a project manager and specialist in regulatory initiatives. He has an MBA in Cybersecurity and is certified as an IBM Cloud Professional Architect. Currently, he coordinates CE42 (ANBT) and actively participates in the translation and development of ISO/IEC standards.

Professional certification and training

Training participants will not only broaden their horizons in the use and application of AI, but will also leave with a certificate that proves their new competence, further preparing them for market demands.

This initiative reaffirms ABES's commitment to the continuous qualification of professionals in the software sector in Brazil, reaffirming the entity as a reference in technological education and governance.
