Alcely Strutz Barroso, from IBM, and Ariela Zanetta Simoni, from TOTVS, are coordinators of the new project of the association

São Paulo, March 18, 2021 - Aligned with the purpose of contributing to the construction of a more digital and less unequal Brazil, ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies met with executives Alcely Strutz Barroso, from IBM, and Ariela Zanetta Simoni, from TOTVS, to create the Future Labor Committee, in which both are the coordinators. The first training meeting of the group takes place today, at 3:30 pm, to discuss the conduct of activities.

According to Carolina Marzano, advisor to ABES committees, the group was born out of the need to expand remote work and automation, in addition to new technical and emotional skills for employees, in investments in formal and continuing education and in ways of interacting with customers. “The Covid-19 pandemic, however, accelerated these disruptions worldwide in 2020. The short-term transformations and those that are yet to vary vary in each professional category, bringing doubts and the need to review mentalities and practices,” he adds. .

The technology sector has been proving its essentiality in maintaining the country's economic activities during the pandemic. One of its greatest assets is its qualified workforce, which ranges from call centers to operations with artificial intelligence.

“Abes' initiative to create a group to discuss the Future of Work connecting all the actors in this agenda and its associates is extremely important for us to be able to address the pains of the sector and create opportunities that are convergent with the demand of the segment's labor market. of technology ”, exposes Ariela.

Information technology plays a fundamental role for the democratization of knowledge and the creation of new opportunities, aiming at a better quality of life for all, in an inclusive and equal way, that is why ABES works aiming at ensuring a business environment in the Brazilian market conducive to innovation, ethical, dynamic, sustainable and globally competitive.
