At work, Artificial Intelligence can generate reports and analyze more complex scenarios

In 2016, I discovered the power of Artificial Intelligence by asking Alexa to buy basic items for my home and optimizing my shopping list. In July 2017, I also realized how beneficial Artificial Intelligence can be for the corporate environment. When I saw a professional recently hired by a company, who had never used ERP, ask the system to generate a report of planned stock position for the company's CD, in Arizona (USA), to deliver in 10 days, and I thought amazing. The user's familiarization with the new system was immediate, even though he had never used the solution. With this reflection, I want to draw your attention to an important point in Artificial Intelligence: the power of the voice.

Artificial intelligence began to be applied gradually in our daily tasks, and our work could not be left out of this trend. In my personal and professional life, AI gives flexibility, freedom, and time - a resource so precious that it is scarce nowadays. I don't need to stop to place a replacement order for my refrigerator. To tell you the truth, I don't even have to sit down, I manage to reconcile my shopping list with other important activities of my day. And, on the professional side, I see that the technology market is investing in bringing AI to the corporate environment, and every effort is made to make the trend a reality and generate results.

Today, there are already pilot projects to use AI for administrative activities such as sending a standard email response, requesting employee vacations, generating reports; and in more complex tasks such as inventory management and even asset management. Proof that AI has arrived in several sectors is the result of research by Vanson Bourne, which claims that companies that do not adopt Artificial Intelligence in the next three years are at risk of becoming irrelevant. However, even in the era of innovation, many companies still do not know what digital transformation can do in terms of real savings.

And what it can do is optimize time through the power of the voice. As in the example of the new employee who uses artificial intelligence to monitor his stock and generate a future report. The technology can help companies to improve the efficiency of their professionals and also reduce costs of human resources, since the time allocated for training to use corporate tools can be much less. In addition, the reduction of errors can be significant. Imagine that the user we quote needs to request a sales and operations planning (S&OP) system for a report of orders that he will not be able to fulfill, and in a strategic manner, while still serving key customers. Upon understanding the employee's command voice, the system intelligently responds to alternatives to meet the company's requirements. As a result, the gains are enormous, especially in customer satisfaction.

Today, the most modern ERPs are in the cloud and tell other technological aspects that help to improve productivity, and if added to Artificial Intelligence, companies will have more than a virtual assistant available to provide advice and generate reports - we are talking about a tool that it will help business decision-makers in more assertive actions - avoiding manual execution that depends on filters and scenarios, and that can always be prone to errors and / or forgetting some parameter. After all, machines today are 100% dependent on the human factor.
