Event brings together global experts and Brazilian leaders to discuss how new technologies can boost and reshape businesses in a sustainable way

The Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES), a leading player in the discussion on innovations and challenges that impact the future of the global market, will hold the 14th edition of its annual event in São Paulo on October 30, one of the most anticipated in the country in the technology sector. ABES Summit 2024 will feature debates and lectures focused on themes that shape the present and future of the digital market that can put Brazil in the spotlight on the global digital transformation scene.

Aimed at the country's technology and business community, the event's theme is “Inflection Point: the urgency of the new technological agenda“. “It will be a day of immersion promoting direct connections with professionals who are at the forefront of innovation. Our goal is for leaders of any company that uses technology to structure their planning for 2025 – and leave there with a roadmap with urgent agendas and best practices. An important contribution from ABES for Brazil to advance in digital transformation”, explains Paulo Milliet Roque, president of ABES.

The ABES Summit 2024 will feature experts, entrepreneurs and academics who are leading discussions on innovation and digital business. The keynote speaker will be Chris Perry, Chief Innovation Officer and President of Weber Shandwick Futures, a media lab that integrates technology development, cultural research and communications design for companies in the AI era. With over 30 years of experience at the forefront of technological change, Perry is a strategic advisor to Fortune 500 companies. He has just released the book “Perspective Agents: A Human Guide to the Autonomous Age“, which will also be covered in his talk “A navigation guide for companies in the AI era”.

Expecting to bring together around 300 in-person participants, the event has a suitable setting to generate connections with market leaders and create an environment that encourages new partnerships, business and the exchange of experiences. “The ABES Summit 2024 will be a milestone in the discussion and construction of the future of digital business. We will address topics such as artificial intelligence, ESG, the future of work, digital entrepreneurship, participation in the international market and public policies, regulation and the business environment. The event will certainly be a prominent platform for the exchange of knowledge and development of solutions that will directly impact the business scenario in Brazil and worldwide”, says Jamile Sabatini Marques, director of promotion and innovation at ABES and responsible for the event’s agenda.

ABES structured the debate program around topics that shape the present and future of the digital market. Issues such as artificial intelligence and automation; the importance of technology for the ESG agenda; digital transformation of a multigenerational workforce; public policies and regulation; and innovations that can make Brazil a technology exporter are part of the list of perspectives that will be addressed at the event. The idea is to explore how new technologies are transforming businesses, how environmental, social and governance criteria are becoming central to companies’ strategies, and what role Brazil will play in the global innovation scenario. “ABES Summit 2024 will be a transformative experience! We are bringing together brilliant minds, committed to building a more vibrant and inclusive digital future. I am fully convinced that this event will not only anticipate trends, but also chart the paths that will shape the technological environment in Brazil”, says Rodolfo Fücher, president of the ABES Board.
