On the first day of VMware Explore 2023 São Paulo, the company revealed new services, solutions and partnerships

VMware, one of the main corporate software companies, announced several updates to its portfolio of services and solutions during the first day of VMware Explore, the company's main event that took place in October in the capital of São Paulo. Among the new features presented are the new features of VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA, which empowers organizations for the next era of generative artificial intelligence, and the launch of VMware NSX+, a new managed cloud service for multi-cloud environments.

In its second edition, VMware Explore 2023 São Paulo reinforced the company's commitment to helping customers find the right applications for each cloud and to invest in technologies that allow organizations to manage and operate more consistently and securely in multi-cloud environments. cloud. Among the highlights of VMware Explore 2023 São Paulo are VMware's new Private AI offerings, such as:

  • VMware Private AI Foundation, in collaboration with NVIDIA, extending the companies' strategic partnership to prepare organizations using VMware infrastructure for the next era of generative AI;
  • VMware Private AI Reference Architecture for Open Source, to help customers achieve desired AI outcomes by supporting best-in-class open source (OSS) technologies today and in the future;
  • VMware AI Ready Program, which will connect independent software vendors (ISVs) with the tools and resources needed to validate and certify their products on the VMware Private AI Reference Architecture.
  • Intelligent Assist, a family of generative AI-based solutions trained on VMware proprietary data to simplify and automate every aspect of enterprise IT in a multi-cloud era.

During the event, VMware also showcased the next evolution of VMware Cloud to empower customers with new editions and capabilities that will help them modernize, optimize and better secure their multi-cloud environments. Available in five prescriptive editions (Essentials, Standard, Pro, Advanced, Enterprise), VMware Cloud helps customers modernize infrastructure and management at every stage of their cloud transformation journey, and can be deployed and managed in three ways: Customer Managed, VMware Managed and Provider Managed.

On the occasion, VMware NSX+ was also announced, NSX's new cloud-managed service for multi-cloud environments, which advances the fundamental networking and security capabilities of VMware Cloud. The company is also introducing NSX+ virtual private clouds (VPCs) to provide complete network isolation, security and services for multiple tenancies on a shared VMware Cloud infrastructure, managed by a single global NSX interface.

Other highlights of the event:

VMware Explore São Paulo also introduced a series of new offerings in the VMware Tanzu family of products, aiming to provide customers with a complete solution for developing, delivering and optimizing multi-cloud applications. Now, the platform brings together existing Tanzu and Aria products with new integrations, innovations and portfolio enhancements to revolutionize application creation, with a focus on multi-cloud optimization and management.

New features include the launch of VMware Tanzu Application Engine (beta), improved multi-cloud Kubernetes operations, a developer portal offering template templates, improvements to the developer experience using Spring Framework 6, and a new console for configuring and operating the Tanzu Application Platform.

Additionally, new Tanzu Intelligence Services includes parts of VMware Aria with the common data platform to drive platform engineering and management of cloud environments, previewing VMware Tanzu with Intelligent Assist to simplify operational workflows using a conversational chatbot experience powered by generative AI. Other announcements include VMware Tanzu CloudHealth, VMware Tanzu Insights, VMware Tanzu Guardrails and VMware Tanzu Transformer.

VMware also announced new capabilities, solutions and services to help customers accelerate their digital transformation with a software-defined edge approach that includes:

  • VMware Edge Cloud Orchestrator (formerly VMware SASE Orchestrator), which will provide unified management for VMware SASE and VMware Edge Compute Stack. These enhancements will help customers plan, deploy, execute, visualize and manage their edge environments frictionlessly by providing a single console for edge computing, networking and security infrastructure;
