Galvão will lead Oracle's new infrastructure division in Latin America after the company's structural changes in the region
Four years after reaching the command of Oracle Brazil, Rodrigo Galvão will assume the senior vice president for Tech Cloud in Latin America, the company's new business unit in the region. Alexandre Maioral takes over in his place, until then vice president of Oracle Applications in the Country.
The new business unit is part of a structural overhaul of Oracle in Latin America. There are two main segments: technology (which Galvão will lead), which includes infrastructure, software and hardware; and applications, focused on business management systems (to be managed by Adrian Durán, former senior vice president of client success and consulting for Latin America).
According to the company, the division led by Galvão was created to “enable technological development with a strong focus on industry and cloud”. "Being ahead of this new unit for all of Latin America is a great honor, and we will work harder and harder to bring our clients more value, more knowledge and act as more than consultants, reinforcing our position as business partners", he says. Galvão, in a statement.
Alexandre Maioral, who assumes the presidency of Oracle Brazil, will report directly to Luiz Meisler, executive vice president of Oracle Latin America. The executive will be responsible for the strategies of the Brazilian operation. According to the company itself, it will continue the cloud strategy and a consultative and integrated approach to customer needs. It should also have "great focus on translating major innovations and trends to the reality of the market" and promote "the continued formation of creative leadership, bottom-up management and have professionals who know how to adapt to cope with the exponential changes that impact companies currently".
