The meeting sought to explore prospects for new business between Brazil and Colombia and offer support to Colombian entrepreneurs interested in doing business in Brazil

ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies, participated this Monday, at the Hotel Grand Wyatt, in São Paulo, in the Panel Discover Colombia. The event was attended by Dario Alonso Montoya, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia in Brazil, Rodolfo Fücher, President of ABES, and businessmen, trade union representatives and associations from Colombia and Brazil, with the aim of building a network of relationships and support for entrepreneurs and startups interested in exploring business opportunities in Brazil. The opening of the event, organized by the Colombian Embassy in Brazil, was made by the President of the Republic of Colombia, Ivan Duque.

“The participation of the Colombian President, Mr. Ivan Duque, demonstrates the importance of the event, which aims to promote and intensify business exchange, seeking to build greater business integration between the two countries. Brazil, due to its continental dimension and socioeconomic importance, is a potential market for Colombians. Colombia, on the other hand, due to its diversity of services, incentives and resources, offers excellent business opportunities. It is necessary to intensify this type of exchange and we are increasingly committed to helping to strengthen trade relations between the two countries”, emphasizes Rodolfo Fücher.

In order to encourage exchange, ABES developed the Startup Intership Program, which through partnerships with incubators, accelerators or investment funds, free of charge, aims to strengthen entrepreneurship and attract talent and investments to the Brazilian technology sector. Lasting 6 months, the focus of the program is to help emerging companies, which use technology intensively and wish to operate or expand their activities in Brazil, to overcome the complexities present in the market, making more than 35 available to program participants. years of experience at ABES in the legal, regulatory, tax and marketing areas.
