In a webinar, the association invites executives and researchers to debate how Covid-19 will interfere in the ways of relating and work, consumption and entertainment

São Paulo, May 4, 2019 - The social and economic implications of Covid-19 will be striking and will define a new social behavior. The ways of working, how we relate, consumption and entertainment trends will be adapted to a new reality. Today there is talk of a “new normal”. But what would that be? How will companies organize themselves to receive their employees after a pandemic? And people, how will they behave after this experience of social detachment? To reflect on these possible responses, the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) invites executives and researchers to present their studies in a free online webinar on May 6, at 2:30 pm. The event is open to anyone interested in the topic and will be assisted by the journalist and director of the magazines Época Negócios e Pequenas Empresas & Grandes Negócios, Sandra Boccia. Registration is available at www.sympla.com.br/ABESSOFTWARE.

According to Francisco Antonio Soeltl, director of ABES and founder of the MicroPower Global Group, this abrupt transition in social relations and business operations forces investments in technological innovations that allow not only remote work, virtual meetings and access to institutional channels quickly and easily by the home office employee; but also for meeting friends, shopping, entertainment and medical appointments. “We imagined living in a world in which we could predict, plan, and in a few weeks, we realized that the world has changed radically and unexpectedly. Technology plays a fundamental role in the democratization of knowledge; agility, cost reduction and business efficiency; and the creation of new opportunities for everyone, especially for those most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic ”, he explains.

The rapid expansion of the virus has caused institutions and people around the world to review plans, goals and forms of relationships to avoid crowds in public and private spaces. Now it is discussed how to return to work, to stores, to social gatherings and what will need to be changed with the transformation of society. With this theme in mind, ABES invited the professor, investor and advisor of startups and NGOs to the debate. Arthur Bezerra to talk about Net Emotions; Omar Ribeiro Thomaz, specialist in conflict situations at Unicamp, which will address the reinvention of the normal; the executive in people management Elizabeth Leonetti that will bring to the debate the resumption of a new human being; Rodolfo Araújo - vice president for Latin America at United Minds, cultural transformation consultancy, to present the constant transformation of the new normal; and the founder and Chairman & CEO of the MicroPower Global Group, Francisco Antonio Soeltl, which will address the new home office.
