Available on the association's website, the publication aims to legally adapt the technology to the 'home office'

São Paulo, April 28, 2019 - In view of the social isolation scenario, routines have gained new rhythms and this has also had an impact on the forms of work. Today, companies are having to learn quickly how to use the new business hours format, telework. Despite being used by many companies even before the pandemic, remote work, home office, exploded with the need for social isolation due to the Covid pandemic19.

This modality is generating several questions in the job market and, for this reason, ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies has gathered guidelines in order to answer questions from employers and employees.

These policies are available at: www.abessoftware.com.br/legislacao/legislacao-do-setor/covid-19-%E2%80%93-leis-e-decretos-emergenciais

According to the President of the Board of ABES, Francisco Camargo, legislation alone is not enough. Companies need to have norms and guidelines for teleworking that allow technology to keep up with legislation to avoid abuses and legal problems.

“Even with the measures recently adopted by the government to increase the legal security of teleworking, technology has moved faster and has provided tools that allow employees to work at home, in the same virtual workspace that they had in the company, with a good user experience. however, for security reasons, some of these platforms allow you to monitor and even record the work session that the employee is carrying out at home. To avoid compliance problems, companies must complement the legislation with internal rules, a clear teleworking policy and in accordance with the legislation, and for that, ABES has provided a template that serves as a guide for any organization in which employees work ' home office '”, explains Camargo.
