The initiative is part of Microsoft's GIVE Program, focused on donations and volunteering, which has the Instituto Atravessando a Ponte as one of its beneficiaries

Microsoft, through its GIVE Program, aimed at donation and volunteering initiatives carried out by the company's employees, organized on October 28th, at 9am, at the company's headquarters in São Paulo, a dynamic aimed at 40 young people who do part of Institute Crossing the Bridge. The project offered lectures led by Microsoft experts on the scenarios and perspectives for advancing the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the business world, then the young people were divided into groups to solve a case related to the use of Artificial Intelligence.

In the end, the proposals developed were presented to an evaluation panel made up of representatives from the human resources department of Microsoft partner companies, such as DataEX, Eurekah, Avanade and BizApp, who are looking for talent to fill internship and young apprentice vacancies. . The initiative was organized by Microsoft employees as a voluntary action.

“AI has already been used in companies for a few years and has gained even more prominence in the last year. This technology represents a huge opportunity for business and society, but in order to take advantage of this potential, it is essential that we offer access and training so that people can train themselves in this technology and expand their employability opportunities. This action with AI Ponte is an important step towards this objective”, comments Lúcia Rodrigues, philanthropy leader at Microsoft Brazil.

The Atravessando a Ponte Institute offers low-income young people full university scholarships in the area of Information Technology, personal development courses and internship opportunities in order to promote social transformation in their lives. Among the areas in which it operates are: Systems Analysis and Development, Database, Computer Science, Cyber Defense, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, Computer Network and Information Systems.
