New implemented environment supports all critical applications that are fundamental to the thousands of attendances performed per year by the institution
Nutanix's Hyperconvergence solutions were essential for AACD to modernize its Information Technology infrastructure. The institution saves around R$ 300 thousand per year, increasing its scalability, efficiency and taking a fundamental step in its journey to Digital Transformation. The project, completed in the second half of 2021, was implemented and supported by Add Value, an integrator specializing in cloud technologies, hyperconvergence, networking, security and virtualization.
“We did a market study and arrived at Nutanix's hyperconvergence solutions, which, without a doubt, were the ones that presented the best cost-benefit ratio. We are providing an infrastructure for an organic growth of the AACD from 40% to 50%, while we gain in availability, scalability, space in addition to an annual savings of around R$ 300 thousand per year in the purchase of hardware to create new work environments”, evaluates Victor Kaspar, IT Manager at AACD.
According to Kaspar, all integration with the datacenter on premise existing was very smooth and trouble free. The infrastructure now occupies 1/8 of the space it originally occupied, in addition to providing electricity savings of over 60%. The Nutanix environment supports all critical applications such as Business Intelligence, management systems, physical stores, NGOs, property security, heart monitors, back office, in addition to the communications of the nine AACD units.
“The entire IT environment now has simple visualization and management. All cargo handling is agile, providing a higher level of governance for a critical environment that operates 24×7 and is responsible for the operation of several emergency applications. It is now possible to create more environments faster, without large operational costs and the need to provision hardware purchases”, reinforces Kaspar.
The entire implementation was carried out by Add Value, in addition to providing technical support in partnership with Nutanix. According to Thiago Spósito, a partner at the company, it is gratifying to be able to participate in a project for an institution as socially important to Brazil as AACD.
“We were very happy to help implement this modernization, which is totally innovative and has a social nature. With this new infrastructure of AACD, we believe that it is prepared for an increasingly digital future and that it will help in the delivery of even more qualified services, helping more and more people and being increasingly important for the country, as it has been in this relevant trajectory of more than 70 years”, emphasizes Spósito.
