São Paulo, July 23, 2021 – ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies – will hold on July 28, at 8:30 am, the digital event “Fostering Innovation for the competitiveness of companies / Launching the Guide to Fostering Innovation”. The meeting will address the lines of funding and support offered by specialized public bodies, whether federal, state or municipal, and also the launch of the 3rd edition of the Guide to Promotion of Innovation for the ICT sector. For this meeting, ABES will have the presence of Igor Manhães Nazareth, Director of Planning and Institutional Relations at Embrapii (Brazilian Company for Research and Industrial Innovation); Newton Hamatsu, Superintendent of Innovation at Finep (Financier of Studies and Projects); Wellington Barros, Coordinator at the Department of Technology Intensive Industries at BNDES (National Development Bank); Thiago Samarino, Innovation Manager, and Marina Loures, Innovation Director at ABGI Brasil; Rodolfo Fücher, president of ABES, and the moderation of the conversation will be carried out by Jamile Sabatini Marques, Director of Innovation and Development at ABES.

ABES believes that information technology plays a fundamental role in the democratization of knowledge and the creation of new opportunities for all, in an inclusive and equitable manner. In addition, it also contributes to the economic recovery in the country, but companies need to prepare themselves to remain competitive in this new scenario.
