São Paulo, December 10, 2020 - Digital entrepreneurship is on the agenda of the webinar organized by ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies, which will debate with representatives of the public sector the theme 'Marco das Startups - measures to reduce the bureaucracy of new business models'. The date online, lasting two hours, takes place on December 16, starting at 2:30 pm. Registration can be done at this link .

According to Igor Manhães Nazareth, Undersecretary of Innovation and Digital Transformation at the Ministry of Economy, who will be present at the meeting, the objective of the Legal Framework for Startups is to leverage the ecosystem of innovative entrepreneurs in Brazil. “The proposals seek to improve the business environment and provide legal certainty to entrepreneurs and investors. Marco Legal brings measures to simplify, reduce bureaucracy and encourage investment in startups and increase the supply of capital. It also encourages innovation in the public sector by facilitating hiring by the State and disciplining how public administration bodies and entities can buy innovative solutions developed by startups ”, he explains.

The virtual meeting will also be attended by Vinicius Poit, Federal Deputy for the New Party; and Paulo Alvim, National Secretary of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation - MCTI. Juliana Natrielli Ribeiro, Deputy Director of ABES and fiscal advisor of the federal savings bank will also participate. The moderation will be on account of Rodolfo Fücher, President of ABES.

“The discussion around the Legal Framework for Startup comes at a favorable moment, when the World Economic Forum points to Brazil, as one of the five innovation poles to be observed, mainly after Brazilian startups received about US $ 2.7 billion during 2019 And the OECD highlights the importance of digital transformation for Brazilian socioeconomic development. The importance of startups as an engine to foster this innovation is indisputable. The proposal of the legal framework comes precisely to bring a safe regulatory environment, which will stimulate both the entrepreneur and the investor, ensuring a promising future for Brazil ”, says Fücher.

ABES recently launched the Internship Program, started to strengthen companies, generate synergy between investment funds, incubators and accelerators and help businesses to overcome difficulties in the market. Participating startups can count on more than 33 years of ABES experience in the legal, regulatory, tax and marketing areas.
