LGPD Business Forum

An initiative by ABES, created in 2020 in partnership with Fecomercio, Brasscom and other organizations. It brings together more than 100 business entities to discuss the legal security of the LGPD and promote a culture of data protection in the country.

Cybersecurity Working Group

It aims to establish an important space for internal discussions and monitoring of specific regulations, engagement with stakeholders, in addition to fostering the exchange and dissemination of information among members and the most diverse segments of society. Cybersecurity is a cross-cutting theme across all socioeconomic sectors.

Data Protection Working Group

Its objective is to deepen the understanding of the LGPD and promote debate about its impacts and challenges for the sector. This standard is applicable to all sectors of the economy and provides for severe sanctions, especially in the case of data leaks.

The goal is to strengthen entrepreneurship and attract talent and investment funds to the Brazilian technology sector. ABES Angels by Angels of Brazil

This is a partnership between ABES and Anjos do Brasil. The initiative aims to offer benefits and advantages that are unmatched in the market. Participants in this closed group will have the unique opportunity to join the largest angel investment network in the country, with the bonus of meetings and events focused on trends and startups in the software sector. Innovation Promotion Guide

Action between ABES and ABGI that aims to keep all information about innovation promotion options and sources of funding, whether public or private, cataloged, updated and easily accessible. In this way, ABES fulfills its goal of helping to promote a business environment that is more conducive to innovation. To this end, ABES establishes partnerships with important agents, such as the Brazilian Company for Industrial Research and Innovation (EMBRAPPI), the Financing Agency for Studies and Projects (FINEP), the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), among others.

ABES / IDC Study

Brazilian Software Market: an initiative by ABES and the consulting firm IDC, a global leader in market intelligence. In 2025, the 21st edition of this important annual study was launched, mapping the evolution, challenges and highlights of the sector. This analysis is the main one for the IT sector in Brazil and has become a national reference, cited by the main players in the technology and innovation ecosystem, in addition to being a source of reliable data for companies, government and academia.

HR Tech

This is an ABES initiative that aims to support talent development by disseminating partner courses, providing updates on employability in technology, and promoting discussions on career management, team development, talent retention, hybrid work models, among other topics. RH Tech offers statistical data on employability in the Digital Transformation, and the Studies on the Job Market and the Future of Work section of RH Tech brings together several studies that indicate current and future trends in the job market, new careers, perspectives for job seekers, youth behavior, and much more. The platform integrates companies, society, and the third sector. Currently, the initiative has 31 active partners and there were around 25,000 accesses to the platform between January 2023 and October 2024. The partners are: Companies - AFX Academy, Aluna, AWS, Blue, GeneXus, IBM, Interon, Magic, Microsoft, Qlik, Oracle, Sa;esforce, Trampos and Vsoft and the Third Sector and public agencies are: ABRH SP, Campinho Digital, CIEE, Despertar, Escola da Nuvem, Instituto Êxito, Generation, Juventudes Potentes, Instituto Aliança, Instituto Brasil Digital, IOS Oportunidadae Social, PROA, Programaria, Recode, Reprograma, Instituto Ser + and Softex.

Social and Digital Inclusion & Combating Disinformation
Mobilization to reduce inequality

The campaign aims to support social inclusion projects that promote digital training through resources obtained from recycling IT equipment (notebooks, PCs, racks, etc.) discarded by companies that join the initiative. Companies participating in the campaign, which may or may not be members of ABES, benefit from exemption from logistics costs, receive legal documentation of the disposals, and a Socio-Environmental Impact Report (RIA) with information on environmental, economic, and social impacts for monitoring and use in their sustainability and social responsibility reports. The initiative has already collected more than 305 tons and impacts more than 8,000 people per year through digital inclusion and literacy projects. 714 pieces of equipment were donated to 25 social projects, 6 of which are in the Amazon.

Brazil Movement, Digital Country

Mass awareness and education initiative in simple and accessible language about digital transformation, its advances, points of attention and protection measures for citizens and families. Over the past 9 years, the initiative has already impacted more than 11.5 million Brazilians through the portal www.brasilpaisdigital.com.br, social networks, activities at events and other initiatives.

Tax Working Group

It proposes to study issues related to the taxation of operations with software and other information technology services, propose to ABES, through the Regulatory Committee, actions linked to the taxation of these activities, in addition to disseminating information, tips or suggestions on the subject for other members, a fundamental topic for the good progress of business and the competitiveness of Brazilian companies.

Labor Working Group

Its mission is to monitor the legislative and regulatory debate on labor relations that affect the ICT sector and to propose suggestions for initiatives to improve legal certainty and the business environment in the country. The WG also seeks to delve deeper into the debate on labor relations, given the large number of normative acts and legislative proposals on the subject.

Future Labor Committee

Created to connect all members in order to map their convergent needs and discuss trends in People Management, given the expansion of remote work and automation, the need for new technical and emotional skills for employees, policies to encourage inclusion and diversity, among other topics on the Future of Work. This integration forum also seeks to promote a dialogue between the technology sector, public policy makers, professionals in the education and human resources areas, considering that it is essential to encourage collaboration between various actors so that we can jointly create actions that meet the growing demand for technology professionals.
