On November 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the WTC Business Club in São Paulo will host a major event to discuss Brazil’s digital future and the launch of the Governance and Management Council of the Brazil Digital Plan 2030+. The meeting aims to present and discuss the main points of this strategic plan, which aims to boost the development and use of digital technologies in Brazil. The proposal is to create a long-term strategy that promotes sustainable growth, increases social inclusion, and strengthens the country’s position on the global stage.

The Digital Brazil Plan 2030+ is the result of work led by the Council for Sustainable Social Economic Development (CDESS or Conselhão), through its Committee for Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation (CTITD), and was developed in partnership with Brasscom and with the support of ABES and the consultancy firm Oliver Wymann. The plan was personally delivered to President Lula during the plenary meeting of the Conselhão in June of this year.

The Governance and Management Council (CGG) of the Brazil Digital Plan 2030+, which will be presented at the event, is composed of representatives from ABES, Brasscom, CIEB, CNI, Febraban and FIESP.

The panel discussions will feature prominent figures from government and civil society, including Paulo Pereira, Secretary of CDESS; Glória Guimarães, Board Member of CDESS; Laércio Cosentino, Founder and Chairman of the Board of TOTVS and Brasscom; and Rodolfo Fucher, Chairman of the Board of ABES. Other panelists include Affonso Nina, CEO of Brasscom, and Priscila Cruz, CEO of Todos pela Educação, among other experts and industry leaders.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the six pillars that structure the plan: Infrastructure for Digital Transformation; Strategic Technologies; Research, Development and Innovation; Education and Digital Training; Social and Digital Inclusion; and Business Environment. “We will present the evolution of the plan and discuss its next steps. We expect an enriching debate on the expected impacts of this plan on the economy and society as a whole,” says Rodolfo.

The meeting promises to be a milestone in promoting Brazil’s technological and digital development, laying the foundations for a more inclusive and sustainable future. With both the public and private sectors expected to engage, the event reflects the importance of comprehensive collaboration to address the challenges of digitalization and strengthen Brazil’s competitiveness on the global stage.
