Residents of the state of São Paulo who are interested in entering the information technology area will have the opportunity to participate in Qualifica SP – Novo Emprego. The program, managed by the Secretariat for Economic Development (SDE), opens registrations this Monday (15) for 5,500 places in free courses on cloud computing and artificial intelligence, in partnership with Google Cloud, the computing arm in the Google cloud.
Upon completing the courses and meeting all requirements, students will be invited to participate in the 'Job Fair – Opportunities Fair', an event with internship and job offers that will take place in November.
The SDE initiative will train more than 5 thousand professionals in two online courses lasting one and a half months, carried out in partnership with Google Cloud and the Fundação Apoio à Tecnologia (FAT). Registration must be completed via the website www.qualificasp.sp.gov.br by August 5th. Residents of the state of São Paulo over 18 years of age can participate. Candidates must take qualifying tests after registering. The call will take place via email. In August, a new offer is planned with an additional 2,500 vacancies.
The first course is “Cloud Computing Fundamentals – Google Cloud”. With 3,000 places, it offers students with little or no knowledge of cloud computing a detailed view of concepts that cover the fundamentals of the cloud, big data and machine learning. There are four modules, totaling 64 hours of course divided into 56 hours of programmatic content and eight hours of socio-emotional skills.
The second course is “Artificial Intelligence – Google Cloud”, with 2,500 places. It presents, in three modules, an overview of the concepts of generative artificial intelligence, from the foundations of large language models to the principles of responsibility. There are 50 hours of course, divided into 30 hours of programmatic content, 12 hours of tutoring and eight hours of socio-emotional skills.
