Company has made available a dedicated resource page about mpox, bringing together materials from UpToDate, Lippincott NursingCenter and Ovid
With the World Health Organization declaring, for the second time in three years, monkeypox a global health threat, Wolters Kluwer Health is once again providing free, online access to evidence-based information about the disease in a resource center dedicated to mpox.
The site brings together content and tools from UpToDate®, a clinical decision support (CDS) solution, Lippincott NursingCenter®, a knowledge portal for nurses, and the Ovid® medical research platform. These resources are available to physicians, nurses, frontline healthcare workers and researchers, epidemiologists and scientists, as well as the general public.
According to Stacey Caywood, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health, timely access to vital information about the virus is essential to global health efforts. “As global health organizations respond to the mpox outbreak, which is now affecting thousands of people in West and Central Africa, Wolters Kluwer is redoubling its efforts to ensure that clinicians and researchers are equipped with the best available evidence and knowledge to care for their patients,” she said.

UpToDate and Lippincott NursingCenter for Frontline Care Against MPOX
For clinicians on the front lines of the outbreak seeking the most up-to-date, evidence-based clinical decision support, several topics on mpox are available in UpToDate.
UpToDate has also curated a list of guidelines on orthopoxvirus from global agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other public health organizations.
The Lippincott NursingCenter has gathered helpful resources designed specifically for nurses, including evidence-based practice articles selected from nursing journals, as well as an interactive presentation on mpox.
Ovid for epidemiologists, researchers and scientists focused on mpox
Up-to-date research articles on mpox from across the Lippincott portfolio of journals have been made available for free access.
To assist scientists, epidemiologists and researchers currently using the Ovid medical research platform, Wolters Kluwer has developed two “Expert Searches” focused on mpox. Advanced searches make it easier to navigate the vast body of research and access the latest, most relevant content.
