SoftwareOne Brasil has just been recognized as a Top Employer by the Tech Alliance program of its partner AWS. The recognition reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to promoting initiatives related to diversity and inclusion, as well as fostering qualification and professional development in the technology market.

According to SoftwareOne Brazil's HR Director, Eduardo Prazeres, women currently account for 41% of the company's employees, representing a growth of 46% compared to 2022. “At SoftwareOne, we are proud to witness the significant growth in the female presence in our company, especially in the technology sector. We value the role of women in the market and strive to create more and more opportunities for them to develop, lead and innovate in their areas of activity”, he comments.

AWS Tech Alliance

The Tech Alliance is an AWS initiative whose main goal is to align student qualifications with the real demands of the technology job market. In this way, the program connects educational institutions with employers, aiming to match educational content with the skills most sought after in technology job openings. “This initiative is essential for the market, as it brings together employers, educational institutions and AWS, providing all the content necessary to prepare these professionals for the market and create opportunities,” he emphasizes.

Prazeres recalls the various fronts of the program, especially regarding events, where it is possible to connect the company with promising candidates. “We received the Top Employer award, being considered the best employer within the program, which represents our high level of engagement, including in events, which represent a unique opportunity to identify professionals aligned with our values and contribute to strengthening our team,” he emphasizes.

Fostering the technology market

In order to increasingly support professional qualification, SoftwareOne has developed the SoftwareOne Academy program, which aims to integrate talents starting out in the IT area and professionals seeking a career change and wishing to enter this segment.

Selected candidates spend six to twelve weeks completing training, including a complete onboarding process that includes technical training, skills development, English language skills improvement, and immersion in the company’s purpose and culture. “When new job openings for this project arise, we always prioritize bringing in candidates we’ve had contact with through the AWS Tech Alliance program. It’s a way to give back to society part of our achievements and generate a positive social impact, opening up more and more paths for professionals who want to enter the technology market,” concludes Prazeres.
