Vale do Pinhão is focused on five pillars: education and entrepreneurship, integrated actions to encourage technology, revitalization of regions with employment and income, promotion (incentives) and integration and articulation”, he said.

In 2018, City Hall relaunched the Curitiba Tecnoparque, a program to attract technology-based companies to the capital, which offers a discount of 5% to 2% in the Tax on Services (ISS) to companies that invest in technology and innovation. “Tecnoparque is one of the pillars of Vale do Pinhão, being a strategic program for Curitiba. In 2017, Engenho da Inovação, headquartered in Vale do Pinhão, hosted more than 50 innovation-oriented events. Paiol Digital, a free event, takes place monthly. And, as a result of these efforts, the capital has been climbing year after year in the Connected Smart Cities Ranking and, in 2018, it reached first place in the General Ranking and in all categories. This recognition shows that the city is on the right path”, comments the Mayor of Curitiba.
