the national event Connected Smart Cities, which will be held on September 4th and 5th, at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in São Paulo, will bring together specialists, entities, companies and governments and will present best practices for a smart city.

In its fourth edition, Connected Smart Cities will bring together different segments of society to present and debate actions focused on the development of a smart, more connected and human city. The sectors participating in the event are divided into technology, mobility, energy, urbanism, environment and security. The following are already confirmed as sponsors of the 2018 edition: Caixa Econômica Federal, BNDES, Engie, Itron, Aceco TI, Atech, Fundação Ezute, Midiacode and BMPI, in addition to the support of more than 40 entities, including ABES.

On the first day of the Forum, the Ranking Connected Smart Cities 2018 will be presented, developed in partnership with Urban Systems and which presents the development indicators of the Brazilian cities participating in the survey.

Expecting to bring together more than two thousand people, Connecteed Smart Cities will address the themes Sustainable Urbanism in Cities; Prosperous Cities; Connected Cities; Mobility and Accessibility in Cities; Entrepreneurial Cities; Resilient Cities; and Participatory and Engaged Cities.

“This edition of the event will feature around 90 panels and 300 speakers who will perform simultaneously on 9 stages, surpassing the numbers of previous editions. We will also have the Expo, where companies that support the event present their solutions for a smart city, in addition to the Award aimed at companies that are offering innovative solutions for cities; Business Rounds, meetings between organizations that offer solutions and cities that are interested in implementing new models, and we expect to organize more than 600 meetings during the event; and the launch of our Manifesto”, says the creator of Connected Smart Cities and executive director of Sator, Paula Faria.

The executive also emphasizes that the event is being officially launched and many news will be presented during the Connected Smart Cities 2018 and that the event's actions, focused on a smart city, present positive results in several Brazilian cities, such as Belo Horizonte. , capital that implemented Connected Smart Cities solutions, through the strategic program “Belo Horizonte Smart City”. “The work developed by us already reflects positive results in cities across the country, such as São João da Boa Vista, Salvador, Florianópolis, Recife, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte, among other cities that have implemented solutions suggested by Connected Smart Cities, with the objective of to offer more quality of life to the population, the main object of our initiative”, he emphasizes.

Connected Smart Cities Manifesto
The Connected Smart Cities Manifesto will be launched during the event, with the aim of highlighting the purpose of the initiative. “Connected Smart Cities' mission is to develop and participate in actions whose main objective is to make Brazilian cities more developed and sustainable, where the projects implemented reflect the quality of life of their inhabitants. Our mission is to join forces, through synergy between all those involved, as we believe and work so that our actions increasingly result in effective results. And the Connected Smart Cities Manifesto reinforces our objective even more”, concludes Paula Faria.
