Bruna was a beautiful girl in her 15 years of age. A beauty without sweetness in the features, but full of candor in the smile. Quite shy, she was studious and very curious. As an only child, she was always very close to her mother, whom she saw as a brave, brave and capable warrior.

But, for some time now, Bruna started to be crestfallen, without finding much reason to live. Life seemed unsalted and sugarless, neutral. Her behavior started to be perceived by the mother as something of concern.

Soon after, Bruna was in the office of a psychiatrist, under the recommendation of a psychologist. And his diagnosis came, as overwhelming nowadays, as the word cancer: she was depressed, according to the specialist. Then, a canyon appeared to have broken the surface. What to do now? How to deal with it? But why depression? She always had it all.

The parents began to despair about what the doctor had said. What's more, she should be medicated, as it could get more serious. Bruna's mother has always been a strong believer in the forces of the mind, having learned early on that the mind can work wonders, if used well. He was not content with the words of those two professionals and decided to hear a third opinion.

He looked for a person who worked with several tools aimed at the development and rescue of happiness. It was a long conversation and, at the end of the conversation, Bruna's mother saw a light at the end of the tunnel. The following week, Bruna was face to face with this professional.

They immediately started an unpretentious conversation, which ended in a loose chat, but full of information about Bruna in its essence. The professional proposed some activities and Bruna loved it. Another girl came out, full of joy, with challenges to be fulfilled and with a sparkle in her eyes.

Bruna's mother called happily to tell her that she had decided to study, she was excited and very active. And so the next meetings followed. Days, weeks, months passed and Bruna never had to take a pill that was for the supposed depression.

What did she have? The simple need for someone to understand her and give her the opportunity to find things that would make sense for her life, that would require her, things in which she was useful, essential!

Nowadays, the word depression is on the rise, and it is really a serious and silent disease. Thus, it must be investigated with attention, care and affection. But also, one must pay sincere attention to people. They cry out to be heard, asked and challenged because, in the end, what most human beings want is to feel useful and loved.
