In Brazil, the lack of access to quality education has perpetuated the condition of poverty in different generations, which affects the full development and quality of life of a large portion of the population. Among the most economically vulnerable people, the enormous likelihood of their children attending poor quality schools limits future work options; to young people from the least favored social classes, we pass on low-paying jobs. The study "Is the social elevator broken? How to promote social mobility ”, led by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), points out that it would take nine generations for the descendants of a Brazilian - who is part of the group of the poorest 10% in the country - to reach the country's average income level.

Data compiled by the organization Todos pela Educação, in 2017, reveal that 2.46 million children and young people, aged between 4 and 17 years, are out of school. In this scenario that demands urgent changes, Artemisia brought together education and employability, complementary themes that must be seen in an integrated manner, in a short-term program to accelerate business with a social impact.

Artemisia Lab Educação e Empregabilidade's proposal is to support a new generation of startups with innovative solutions that have the potential to impact millions of Brazilians - especially the most vulnerable and low-income people. Free of charge and with the support of Potencia Ventures, the program will select up to 20 businesses in an initial stage for a six-week journey, comprising face-to-face workshops and online meetings, based on Artemisia's exclusive acceleration methodology, which has been tested with more than 170 startups.

Registration is open from July 2 to August 5, 2019 and can be made through the website www.artemisia.org.br/labeducacaoeempregabilidade.
