On November 28th, ABES will promote a new training for its Ethics and Integrity Program. The event, scheduled to take place from 10am to 12pm, will be led by Carolina Marzano, Chief Compliance Officer of the association, and aims to reinforce the ethical guidelines that are the basis of the entity. Intended for directors, advisors, collaborators, coordinators of committees and working groups, the training aims to consolidate the culture of transparency and integrity that ABES has defended since its foundation.

Carolina Marzano emphasizes that ABES was a pioneer in implementing a Compliance Program in the sector. “Ethics and integrity have always been fundamental pillars for us. Every year, we conduct this training to ensure that our employees and other stakeholders are equipped with the information and guidelines necessary to combat corruption and promote an environment of fair competition,” says Marzano. The entity has an anonymous reporting channel, which allows anyone to report suspected misconduct, a Code of Ethics and Conduct, and a Policy for Interaction with Public Officials. This tool strengthens the environment of integrity, offering a reliable resource for reporting unethical actions.

Business Integrity

ABES' commitment to transparency goes beyond its internal policies. ABES is the first representative of the technology sector to join the Brazil Pact for Business Integrity, of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU). With 222 signatory companies, the pact is an initiative that seeks to expand ethics and compliance practices in the Brazilian private sector. By assuming the role of institutional supporter, ABES extends its commitment to integrity to all associates, fostering high standards of compliance in the technology sector.

Complementing its efforts, ABES developed the “An Ethical Company” program, which encourages associates to develop their integrity and compliance policies. This program is in partnership with ABIMDE, which has further strengthened this initiative, bringing compliance to more than 200 companies in the Defense and Security sector.

By reinforcing the importance of management based on ethical and transparent standards, ABES continues to lead by example, encouraging other organizations to adopt practices that inhibit corruption and promote fair competition. With its strategic training and innovative programs, ABES consolidates its role as a promoter of business integrity in Brazil.
