On the morning of September 26th, ABES will hold, at 3:00 p.m., the inaugural meeting of a new strategy aimed at providing support for the development of its associates: the business verticals. Only for this inaugural meeting, we will accept applications from non-member companies that would like to learn more about ABES and its work. The initiative's main objective is to offer targeted and specialized support so that member companies can position themselves in a more competitive and strategic way.
“The creation of business verticals aims to structure a specialized network to identify opportunities in the market, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, networking and collaboration among members. With this approach, ABES seeks to create an environment conducive to the growth and development of companies, helping its members identify new market opportunities”, highlights Jamile Sabatini Marques, Director of Innovation and Development at ABES. The initial emphasis on the Smart Cities vertical reflects the growing importance of this market, which promises to transform the way we live and interact in the urban environment.
Business verticals are a way to align associated companies with global and national trends, in addition to providing the necessary support so that they can stand out in an increasingly competitive market. Thus, ABES reaffirms its commitment to promoting the development and competitiveness of the Brazilian technology sector, investing in innovative and collaborative strategies.
What is a smart city?
The concept of Smart City refers to an urban environment that integrates different information and communication technologies (ICT) to efficiently and sustainably manage its resources. The main objective is to improve the quality of life of citizens, promote the efficient management of public services and boost the economy.
Smart cities use a combination of sensors, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and artificial intelligence, among other technologies, to manage the functioning of services, interact with the population, collect and analyze data, combat corruption and improve public management. This data is used to make strategic decisions in several areas, such as transportation, energy, health, urban maintenance, public safety and the environment.
