On Thursday, February 6, 2025, ABES held a strategic meeting at InovaUSP, with the participation of the board of directors and leaders of its committees and working groups, to encourage integration among members and discuss the main actions and goals for the year. Led by Carolina Marzano, Committee Coordinator, and with the support of Heloisa Matias, legal assistant, the meeting had a hybrid participation, allowing professionals from other states to contribute online.
The meeting's objectives include strengthening the association's democratic and participatory environment, where the various leaders can collaborate in discussions and decision-making. This approach is seen as essential to address the challenges of the ICT sector with greater agility and assertiveness, in line with ABES' purpose of contributing to the construction of a More Digital and Less Inequal Brazil.
Paulo Milliet Roque, President of ABES, highlighted the importance of committees and working groups in discussing specific topics, in addition to allowing the expansion of the network of contacts and relationships between the professionals involved. “The committees and working groups allow members to focus on relevant topics, such as the regulation of Artificial Intelligence, eSocial or Tax Reform, where each member uses their skills and specialized knowledge to address issues more effectively and present suggestions to direct ABES's actions, in addition to contributing to our strategic planning”, said the executive.
Complementing this vision, Jamile Sabatini Marques, Director of Innovation and Promotion at ABES, highlighted that “through this approach, we increase the credibility and legitimacy of the association before the government and the general public, strengthening our role as a respected voice of the sector with government agencies, other sector entities and society as a whole”.
In addition to its strong internal integration and strategic coordination, ABES stands out for bringing together around 2,000 companies, including members and affiliates, ranging from small local companies and startups to large multinationals. The association positions itself as a true reflection of the diversity and richness of the technology and information sector in Brazil. Within this diverse ecosystem, ABES operates with a clear focus on encouraging business development, improving the business environment, stimulating strategic connections between companies of different sizes and segments, in addition to offering operational support and training to members and their teams, through different services and free training.
