About the LGPD Business Forum
Created in October 2021 by a broad group of business entities that have been meeting since 2020 with the aim of promoting legal certainty in the application of the LGPD and advancing the culture of data protection and privacy in the country. It is a multi-sector, non-partisan business coalition without its own legal personality formed by business entities, associations and confederations. Since its inception, the LGPD Forum has been a protagonist of important initiatives and public policies to improve legal certainty and the culture of privacy in Brazil, such as the creation of the ANPD, the elevation of personal data protection to a constitutional right and an exclusive activity of the Union and the independence of the ANPD. The Forum has also been an agent in the areas of regulation of the LGPD, as well as in the promotion of events and guiding documents to improve legal certainty and the culture of privacy in Brazil.
