MCTIC and BNDES will disclose the National IoT Plan on October 3
At Futurecom, the first public and press presentation of the National IoT Plan will take place, at 9 am on October 3, when the consortium selected by MCTIC and BNDES, led by consultancy McKinsey & Company – with the participation of Fundação CPqD and the office Pereira Neto/Macedo – will present in detail the policies, the action plan and the strategies for implementing the technologies that will connect devices and equipment.
For the application of the National IoT Plan, the institutions involved carried out preliminary studies that identified four priority verticals to receive the first services aimed at the population's quality of life and sustainable development through technology. They are Cities, Health, Agribusiness and Industry. The plan foresees that these policies will be applied in the period between 2018 and 2022. In Brazil, the IoT market moved US$ 4.1 billion in 2016 alone, according to a study by the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) in partnership with IDC .
